“Time is the scarcest resource, and unless it is managed, nothing else can be managed. The analysis of one’s time, moreover, is the one easily accessible and yet systemic way to analyse one’s work and to think through what really matters in it.”
Peter F. Drucker

Time Management Mechanics

Can you say?

"I'm very organised"

"I know where I am going"

“I know what I’m supposed to be doing”

Most people can’t answer yes to most of those questions. Most of us become frustrated with a day that is unproductive . We would all like to get more done in a day and many of us claim our days are never wasted. But in reality they are. We could all be better at the way we manage our time.

The idea of time management has been in existence for more than a century. Unfortunately the term "Time management" creates a false impression of what a person is able to do. Time can't be managed, time is uncontrollable we can only manage ourselves and our use of time.

Time management is actually self management. It's interesting that the skills we need to manage others are the same skills we need to manage ourselves: the ability to plan, delegate, organise, set goals, deal with interruptions, effectively use a planning tool, direct and control are necessary for us to be able to comfortably answer yes to the questions above.

Time Management Basics provides participants with the skills, tools and confidence to effectively manage their time to achieve both personal and work related goals.
